Monsignor John H. Louis, has been the pastor of The Church of Saint Gregory for twenty years. He is originally from Scranton and a graduate of Saint Patrick's High School on the City's west side. He is also a graduate of Catholic University of America and completed doctoral studies at the Gregorian University in Rome. Fluent in Italian, he is also the official tour guide to the parish's annual trip to Europe.

His previous assignments included, serving as the former assistant chancellor of the Diocese of Scranton and faculty member at Saint Pius X Seminary in Dalton. He currently is supporting member of the Clarks Summit Fire Company, a full-time pastor, a part-time teacher and all time lover of golf. He is a member of Glen Oak Country Club.

On July 15th of this year Monsignor Louis will mark his 35th anniversary of his ordination.
