How do I become a Catholic?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process for people who are searching for a living faith in God as members of the Christian community. St Gregory's program is lead by Jay and Mary Ann Paulukonis. Anyone interested in becoming a Catholic may contact the rectory.

Adult Religious Education:

Catechism of the Catholic Church: Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM
Bible Study Program: Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM

Parish Schools:
Early Childhood Education Center at St Gregory's Church
The Church of St. Gregory offers a pre-school program as well as two kindergarten programs. For information and registration please call the rectory.

Our Lady of Peace School
"OLP" is the parochial school in the Abingtons. It is adjacent to The Church of Saint Gregory and is supported by three parishes. They are, Our Lady of the Abingtons in Dalton, Our Lady of the Snows in Clarks Summit, and Saint Gregory's. It serves students grades one through eight. Please check out the OLP homepage for more information.

CCD Instruction:
The CCD Program is under the direction of Ms. Joanne Judge. Religious education is held every Sunday at Our Lady of Peace School from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM for grades one through eight. Registration is held in September for new members of the parish and for first graders.

Retreats:
Retreats are held for the First Communion and Confirmation Classes, both public and parochial schools in the spring at Saint Gabriel's Monastery.

Hospital Visitation:
If a family member has been admitted to the hospital, the church usually is not notified. It is important that the family telephone the church so a proper visit may be made.

Migrant Workers Program:
St. Gregory's has one of the most successful "Migrant Farm Worker Assistance Programs" in the area. This program is under the direction of Ms. Patti Schreckengaust. Seasonal clothing and food drives as well as religious instructional preparation for sacraments are just a small part of this ministry. If you would like to give of your time as a translator, volunteer, or would like to make a donation please call the rectory.

Smart Money:
This ingenious project is headed up by Ron and Judy Grambo and Tracy Bannon. Smart money is available for purchase after all the Sunday obligation masses. Please see the Smart Money homepage for more information about this worthwhile program.
